TomTom have released details of the Mobile5 unit, which turns smartphones into GPS navigators. The Treo 650 is the only Palm OS smartphone on the supported list. The fully integrated GPS gives the user a lot of functions...
The Mobile5 unit from TomTom, a European GPS manufacturer, uses BlueTooth to relay information to the smartphone, which holds the map information on a SD memory card. The maps are displayed on the smartphone, and TomToms very sophisticated software will guide you where you want to go, with a choice of driving, cycling, walking routes, looking up parking garages, petrol stations and so on. The GPS is fully integrated with the phone functions:

- Easy to use: Simple installation & intuitive interface
- Portable: High performance, lightweight GPS.
- Clear: 3D maps and voice instructions guide you from door-to-door.
- Enhance: Download additional maps and Points of Interest to your phone.

- Complete navigation system for your smartphone for use in car, when you are on foot or by bike.
- Easy door-to-door navigation, including street numbers.
- Smallest and lightest wireless GPS device that easily fits in your pocket or in your bag.
