This program calculates deflection, slope, moment and shear at any specified point along a rigidly fixed beam of uniform cross section. Four different beams are supported:
Cantilever Beams
Simply Supported Beams
Beams Fixed at Both Ends
Propped Cantilever Beams
The calculation (deflection, slope, internal moment, shear force) could be a single point calculation or a diagram for the entire beam. Distributed loads, point loads, applied moments or combinations of all three may be modeled. Refer to the on line help about subtitles and sign conventions.
Deflections must not significantly alter the geometry of the problem. Beams must be of constant cross section for deflection and slope equations to be valid. Stresses must be in the elastic region.
